Focus: Psalms 31:23 - KJV
23. O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
Psalms 31: 19-23
God is never known to back wickedness in any way. Wickedness proceeds from a haughty heart that honors not God as God. Even though God is not in the work or habit of destruction, He protects those who are faithful to Him from the wicked acts of the proud. For instance, Egypt showed wickedness to Israel for over Four Hundred years. God showed forth to rescue them. Egypt, through their king – Pharaoh, showed pride and discountenanced God. They preferred to continue their wickedness against Israel. Rather than God destroying the Egyptians for the Israelites, He shielded the Israelites from all the plagues that befell Egypt from the hands of the enemy. Even when, in their stubbornness, Egypt pursued Israel after the release, God protected the faithful by creating a separation between the assailing enemy and the Israelis. Eventually, the proud met their waterloo.
In a similar fashion, innocent David was protected from the javelin of Saul and the swords of all those he sent against David. It was not because Saul was known to miss when he threw his javelin but for the hand of the Lord that protected David. In the end, Saul met his doom while David, who was considered faithful, got preserved of the Lord. Those who are faithful to God in keeping His commands and stick with Him, are signed up for His protection and guidance away from the evil scepter of the wicked. Those who are wicked are unfaithful and live life as if God does not exist. Incidentally, those who do not defer to the living God do to another, invariably. That other is a thief, killer and known destroyer. No wonder their deeds and acts are tailored to type with that of the one they obey.
Beloved, from this very day, as you start showing faithfulness and deference unto the Most-High God, the Lord will bear you up in the palm of His hand and will never let you dash your feet against the stone; He will keep you safe from the pride of men, secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. He will show you His marvelous kindness in a strong city and will never let you be ashamed; He will shine His face upon you and save you because of His mercies. No matter the size or capacity of the wicked that assails you, the Lord will silence them for your sake. And the Lord will keep you from them that devise to take away your life. Indeed, it is with your eyes you will behold the devastation of the wicked in the hands of their master if they fail to repent urgently. All this we pray and agree together on, in Jesus’ name.

Please pray: Father, I know no other God but you. Do keep me firm in the right and faithful way to the end in Jesus’ name. Do not let the hands of the wicked or any of their weapons ever reach me, in Jesus’ name.
