Be Found Blameless

Focus: 2 Peter 3:13-14 - KJV

13. Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Revelations 21:1-8

There is a blessed hope for the people of God, in that, after all the wickedness of this world is wiped away by the Lord, they have the opportunity to exist with God dwelling together, wherein they relate as sons unto their God. Then, there will be no more death or sorrow of any kind and God would have wiped away all tears from their faces. However, only those who endure to the end who are without spot in this present world and found blameless are those for whom the hope would materialize. They are those who refuse to be fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, and idolaters, as well as liars. They are blameless in that they live by the tenets of their God. Of course, the standard is God’s and not that of men. For men, the fact that some prophesied but the kingdom of darkness did all they could, while men slept, to prevent the prophesies from coming to pass, would make them judge the blameless as being fake. However, in the eyes of the Lord, the one who prophesied had only said what he perceived of the Spirit as he received it. That it did not come to pass is not a sign of a lie. No, not at all. Jonah prophesied but God changed his mind in that matter.

That which the Lord has promised has a foreshadow in the Bible. When the earth was full of violence in the days of Noah, God came for Noah and his household and left the rest of the people to the flood of the world to consume. No one could blame God for it. As Noah was blameless before God, he had the benefit of that occasion. Again, when Sodom and Gomorrah were upside down with filth, and God could not find ten blameless people in the land, he took Lot and his daughters out, and left the rest for the fire of the world to ravage. Lot was considered blameless in the affairs of the place at the time.

Beloved, that which the Lord has spoken he would fulfill. From the shadows we have, not many people were found blameless when the Lord came. If He comes now to deliver the new heaven and the new earth and decide to rescue the blameless and allow the rest to be taken into the earth crust where there will be fire and brimstone, how many people shall be found blameless? No fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderer, whoremonger, sorcerer, idolater or liar shall be reckoned as a son of God. They that are of the Lord who shall be adjudged blameless, must be bold and of great courage, leaving the perversities of the world to the simple and holding firmly to the things of God because they love Him. They are the ones that will be ransomed like Noah and Lot. It is never too late to do that which the Lord will approve as blameless.

SOLUTION: Flee from all appearances of evil. Let love illuminate your heart and do only those things that glorify God henceforth; and you have the assurance of a place with the Lord so that you become a beneficiary of the hope that can never fail.

Please pray: Lord, by the blood of Jesus, please cleanse me from all filthiness and blameworthiness in Jesus’ name. Let me be accounted as your son that I may reign with you forever in the new dispensation that is to come, in Jesus’ name.

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
