Continue In The Faith

Focus: Acts 14:21-22 - KJV

21. And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, 22. Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

1 Thessalonians 3:2-13

It is a beautiful thing to be a Christian, for it affords us the citizenship of heaven and heirs to the throne of God. However, as citizens of heaven, we are merely strangers in the world and therefore should expect to be molested, buffeted and messed up through persecutions. All that is aimed at making us forfeit our citizenship of heaven, and the rights attached thereto. Not to forfeit our citizenship, no matter the level of persecution, we must continue in the faith. To so do is to disciple others and teach them to also remain faithful and turgid in following Christ and His doctrines. We must be deliberate about passing on the baton to those coming after us, so that the torch of the Gospel will never go out of flame, for as long as the earth remains.

Many of the fathers of the faith are being bamboozled by the kingdom of darkness with a view to boxing them into submission. Some are being taunted with unfulfilled prophesies they gave, while some others are being ridiculed to believe they have lost out because of certain result of tribulation. The Master foretold that we would encounter these things, and even death, for His sake. We ought therefore not allow ourselves to be deterred or slowed down. If the early disciples did not do the works they did, to continue the faith: if they had fainted in the face of tribulation, we would not have had the benefit of becoming Kingdom citizens after them.

Let us therefore from this day, invite many more out of darkness into the Kingdom of light and as we do so, let the work of visitation and follow up never cease. It is true that we, as well as many who also do not know the Lord, are feeling the pain emanating from darkness in the communities all over the earth, where we find ourselves; but as we already know to navigate our ways as we operate in the light, let us be careful to guide them too into such enabling grace and help to sustain and keep them there. God is counting on us in that regard.

SOLUTION: The reason there is greater decay in society is that those that had been raised had refused to raise others particularly in direct proportion, or more, to the increase in population. Therefore, set all machinery in motion to disciple others. We owe God that.

Pray thus: Father, thank you for using people to draw me unto yourself and keeping me in the faith. As you continue to sustain me in you, despite tribulation, please help me to minister to others and disciple them correctly for your Kingdom, in Jesus’ name. in this very assignment, do please let me not fail you, in Jesus’ name.
