Do it with love

Text: 1 Cor.16:13-14

13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. 14 Let all your things be done with charity.

Bible Reading:

1 Corinthians 16:10-18

Message:

The faith which the Lord Jesus has committed into our hands is about love. For what shall it profit a man, that he gains the whole world and forfeit his soul? Many are in the world with hopes and aspirations that are contrary to love and therefore contrary to the Will of God. They engage in a rat race that makes them lose sight of their God and damn the existence of fellow humans other than to exploit, oppress and dehumanize them. They gain pleasure only from doing these things that they even do not reckon that one day they will return to their maker. Others feign charity just to gain human applause and for other uncharitable motives and assume no one sees them. Beware of such traits. What the Lord expects of us is love. Many withhold their hands from the ministry of the saints just because of the nefarious campaign brought into the earth by the enemy to stifle the ministers of the Gospel through lack and thereby ensure that the Word of God that is meant to build up saints for God be lacking in depth since the shearers (the ministers) have been distracted to seek means of survival rather than seek the face of the Lord for the deep things of God through the Holy Spirit. “What if the minister is ordinarily wealthy?” But who told you so? Do your bit in love and focus on God. When you withhold your hand, you are not doing disservice unto the minister but unto God and you are actually giving victory inadvertently to the enemy. Everything you do in the body, do it in love: preach, give, counsel, share and so on, only in love and it will be an acceptable service unto the Lord. Don’t let the faith suffer through you.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help me to operate in love in upholding your faith henceforth in the name of Jesus. Please don’t let me ever fail you again in Jesus name.
