9. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
2 Corinthians 4:1-6
In this new year, to get the best of God, we must be fully determined to stand with Christ by continuing to do well and good things devoid of the wiles the devil might be throwing from any quarter, particularly through the instrumentality of them that use the word of God deceitfully, who are still using hidden things dishonestly and refuse to manifest the truth as it is contained in the word of God. Despite all their machinations and wicked mumblings, it is important that we remain focused in dishing out the bread of life to those who desire it for life and life more abundantly, giving material things to the needy and ensuring none around us is allowed to suffer, under the yoke of the wicked. For if we refuse to do this and start responding or reacting to the gibberish from evil quarters by ceasing to do good, we will soon be looking more like the evil doers, that Christ has warned us to be weary of.
Our example, Jesus Christ was accused of casting out devils through the prince of demons. It was a great insult but was not enough to distract Him from doing good which was what He was anointed of the Holy Spirit to do. He remained focused on the goal for which He was sent forth, and until He won the control over the earth from the devil, He refused to be weary. In the same light, as Believers in Him and His Gospel, we ought to emulate Him and also refuse to be weary in good doing because of detractors who do not mean well but seek those to take with themselves to the place prepared for the devil. Therefore, no matter what the enemy throws at us this year, let us remain on course in doing good for in due time, we shall have the reward from the one who loves us.
The grace to overcome naysayers and continue in well doing we receive from today in Jesus’ name. And because the judgment seat belongs to Christ, every tongue that rises or has risen against us in judgment we condemn and render the same impotent from today, in the name of Jesus. Only foolishness, like the counsel of Ahithophel, shall proceed from such tongues, henceforth in Jesus’ name. As believers in Christ, we receive the grace to continue to shine forth in well doing till we meet with Christ in glory, in Jesus’ name.
SOLUTION: Purge yourself of every evil deed and particularly, renew your minds by pulling down the strongholds of the devil projected into your mind with a view to making you weary in doing well. Pull such stronghold down and put the devil to shame.
