Focus: John 5:24 - KJV
24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Death is a debt for every man in life. But death is not the end of all things. When a man dies, something happens to him thereupon. For instance, when Lazarus died, the angels of the Lord took him over and brought him to the bosom of Abraham. There he had life and rejoicing even though he was dead on earth. On the converse side, when the rich man died, the Bible says he was buried. It does not say what happened to him upon burial. And it was not that Lazarus was not buried but the lover of God does not end in the scorchy earth. As angels took Lazarus, it is assumable that demons took the rich man. The place of demons is in outer darkness where this is weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. That was where the rich man was taken. So, when and not if, a man dies, he has a destination. But the destination is determined by the manner of way he lives life on earth. Those who live by the Word of God through Christ Jesus are committed to eternal life like Lazarus without a condemnation. Those who are condemned have refused to live by the Word and therefore their riotous living leads them to eternal condemnation and second death.
While there is still life, there is room to repent and start living by the Word of God. Yes, you may have lived a riotous life till now; but please believe God by His Word that it is only those who live by the Word that are not condemned. If you turn around and start to live by the Word from today, God is faithful and just to receive and accept you into the company of the just for whom there is no longer a condemnation. Please take the opportunity while there is yet breath in you. The rich man sought repentance to no avail after death, but it was rather too late. The place for repentance is on earth while we still have breath. Eternal life is available to you also. Grab the opportunity today.
SOLUTION: Living by the Word is believing in God. Believing in God is the way to eternal life. Live by the Word for the rest of your life and live eternally. There is no other way.
Let the light of your Word shine prominently for us to see and live by from now dear Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ. Every power that chokes the effect and relevance of the Word from the hearts of men, be destroyed now in the mighty name of Jesus. The grace to imbibe, believe and live by the Word, let it be poured out anew upon all men in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Thank you, Father. In Jesus’ name.
