Focus: Ephesians 6:11 - KJV
11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:10-17
Contrary to popular belief, every day in a man’s life is fraught with battles. Some do believe it is a lie that forces exist to war against men. Truth is, the forces of darkness do not want any man to thrive particularly in the light of God. For every man that is drawn into the light of God has victory over darkness and operates at a level far above all principalities and powers and the rulers of darkness of this world. Hence, they do not want any man to be lord over them. Therefore, they war against man to prevent him from stepping into the Light which represents the Kingdom of God. No wonder scriptures say since the days of John the Baptist (the announcer of the emergence of the Light) until now, the Kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent takes it by force. To take the Kingdom and rulership over darkness, we need to be fully equipped. Our equipment is spiritual just as the battles confronting us are spiritual. Hence, we need to be fortified in every part of our spiritual body to forestall injury. When injury is absent, it shows in our physical lives. When there is an injury in the spiritual realm, it shows likewise physically.
Beloved, don’t live this life as if there is nothing at stake. Whenever you hear the Gospel preached, the enemy does not want you to believe or yield to the light of God. What they do is to haul darts at your spirit man to make you weary and deny/reject the drawing of God. Even when you are in, if you refuse to be equipped, a spiritual injury stands to bring discouragement and disappointment which are the effect of the darts of the enemy. But when you are fully covered with the whole armor, you are protected from the wiles of the enemy. The armor? Oh, it is set out in the reading of today. Bring them on.
SOLUTION: Don’t joke with the Lord’s armory. Put every bit on. Truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation and the word of God must be with you always for you to overcome. With the word of God, you are on the offensive against the enemy while with the rest you are defended and protected.
In the name that is above every other name, the Lord will shield you fully with His armor on you in Jesus’ name. No weapon of the enemy formed against you shall ever prosper in the name of Jesus Christ. Everywhere you go and wherever you are, your victory over darkness shall be assured in Jesus’ name.
