Memorize: Acts 14:17
Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
Read: Luke 6:35
When the Lord releases the rain and the sun on earth, they serve the benefit of everyone that dwells therein at the time, whether righteous or wicked. The wicked, though an enemy of God takes full benefit of the Lord’s provision despite his wickedness. The tendency is for the wicked to assume that since he enjoys the same benefit as the righteous despite all the effort of the righteous, there is no point to seek righteousness.
The Lord is good to all and His long suffering towards the wicked is only per adventure he might yield his heart unto righteousness and so why should he be destroyed? The long rope the Lord affords the wicked becomes a waste if the wicked refuses to take the opportunity provided within time and allows the wrath of the Consuming Fire to set in. Then there is separation between the righteous and the wicked. In Egypt, the wicked and the righteous enjoyed the largesse of God until a time came when, by ten plagues, there was a separation between them.
The Lord is gracious to you thus far just to allow you to repent from your wicked ways and join the league of the righteous. If you refuse to so do, it will not be the fault of God when repercussion ensues. May you not suffer any plague meant for the wicked in Jesus name. Friends, the fact that it does not appear you are having a down turn due to sin does not mean you are already on the side of the Lord. It is because the benevolent God is good to all.
Do check your status constantly on the truth of the word of God to stand sure of having the backing of God always. Anyone caught napping will have himself to blame in the end. Those who did not decide for God on time in the days of Moses were buried while alive with Dathan and Abiram. They had no opportunity for a second chance. The Lord is warning now that when judgment will come, there won’t be room for afterthought.
Pray:
Father, please keep me in righteousness that I may not fall into destruction in Jesus name. Let your mercy always avail for me in the name of Jesus.
