It’s time to stand

Key verse: Ephesians 6:13

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Ephesians 6:10-18

The battle that mankind faces is spiritual and not canal. It is fought and won in the spirit realm before the manifestation in the physical. As he thinks in his heart, so he is, says the Word of God. Hence, the first port of attack by the enemy is the human mind. Therefore, when he took over the serpent to talk to Eve, he first lied for her to believe the Lord was the deceiver. Once Eve believed him and acted on his position, she became subsumed under him. Today, the same is the strategy of the enemy. No wonder brother Paul instructs that we renew our minds. To be victorious in this battle which is not ordinarily visible, the Lord has provided us with the best armor: Our faith in God and the gospel of peace, being truthful in all things and sustained in righteousness, our salvation combined with the word of God in our mouth and supported with the language of the Holy Spirit. Putting these in place, then we need not fear whatever may be apparent.

The believer must know that in the battles of life he is not alone. For as long as he has put on the armor as suggested, he must rest assured that his Ally would come through for him. He therefore needs to stand his ground no matter what. Of course, the enemy will still brag but our Ally is stronger. David confronted Goliath a champion. In the eyes of all onlookers it was a mismatch. But David put on the armor of God and stood for God and not the sight he saw. At the end, he beheaded the monster. The Israelites spied the land of promise and believed a lie saying they were like grasshoppers before their foes. Only those who put on their whole armor and stood their ground entered the land and defeated the supposed giants and took over their land. Their Ally saw to it.

Beloved, it does not matter how big that problem may appear in the physical, it is a lie emanating from the enemy. If only you will stand on what you believe and not shake, the Lord will surely see you through. Let your mind be hinged only on the promise of your ever-faithful God. Don’t quiver. Don’t allow the enemy an inch into your head. Shut him out completely and wait for the deliverance from the Lord. He will not fail you. It shall end in praise.

Pray: Father, I believe you, trust you and hold on to your promise for my life. This situation troubling me is nothing before you. Please come to my aid now in the name of Jesus Christ.
