No growth, no understanding!

Key verse: Isaiah 28:9

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

Read: Galatians 4:1-7

No good father gives the custody of valuables in the charge of a child. Peter enjoins the child to desire the sincere milk of the word so that he may grow thereby. When a child grows, he expectedly develops not only physically but mentally and in all faculties too. When he is grown, and has the capacity to appreciate deep things and not look askance at every point, the father is then willing to expose greater things to him and commit much more responsibility to him knowing that he would be a proper custodian of the real valuable stuff and not concede it to the enemy.

Fathers got this their trait from God Himself. Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. When he is so born again, he is but a child in the kingdom who must be weaned with the milk of the word to grow. Many do come into the grace of salvation yet fail to desire the sincere milk of the word. They are therefore neither weaned nor fed with the spiritual meal they require to grow. Many of them feign knowledge but are greatly ignorant and tossed to and fro with the winds of doctrine as the scriptures say. But those who so desire the sincere milk of the word, sit at the feet of a teacher to be fed therewith like Mary did at the feet of Christ. It is in this development that they are made to know some things considered secret of the Kingdom, which are hidden from the outsiders. When they so learn, they gain greater insight and understanding of the mind of God such that others who had not been so weaned start to marvel at their damning understanding and crass competence.

Do you seek to know more of God like Moses and Paul insatiably wanted? You need to grow in the knowledge of the Word. Don’t depend only on what others say. Christ, like He taught Mary and others is willing to have the Holy Spirit teach you all things if you thirst for and desire the Word. When He, the Spirit of truth takes you through the Word, your knowledge is deeper than your peers and greater understanding you will get as the Holy Spirit is the one that understands the deep things of God which is hidden from everyone but is made known to the Sons of God by Him. He has you covered if you yield.

Pray:

Father help to nurture me in your Word to great understanding even as I learn at the feet of the Holy Spirit henceforth in Jesus name.
