Pray For The Leaders Of Your Faith

Focus: Romans 15:30 - KJV

30. Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

It is often said that when you smite the shepherd, the sheep would scatter. The enemy is never happy to see genuine ministers of the Gospel gathering people in a place or places to feed them with the truth of the word of God, away from the wrong doctrines that move the flock away from the heart of God. Wherever they are found, the enemy raises opposition against them to weaken and discourage them from continuing in the right pursuit. Hence, they are confronted with violent, raging opposition and criticisms from unexpected quarters. And because, they are still flesh and blood, some of them get affected by such opposition forgetting that the Master already warned us that some would kill us and assume they are doing it for God. So, we ought not to be surprised when such happens. To avert the consequence intended by the enemy, which is that the flock may scatter, it is vital that the sheep pray for their shepherds that the Lord may strengthen them and keep them up to the end. When the flock come together to pray, the effectual fervent prayers of the righteous avails much in the lives of the shepherds and in the end, the gain is for the flock.

Today, the Lord is inviting us to have understanding of the devices of the enemy. He targets the shepherds so as to get at the flock. The sooner the flock start praying for their shepherds the better for the flock. So, let us all be careful to set apart time to gather to pray for our shepherds whom God has used to raise us all up as parts of the Kingdom, by feeding us with the meat of the word of God for our nourishment, up till now. What the enemy seeks is to expose to us what appears to be their faults so as to cause us to disapprove of them to our own detriment. Let us therefore, be careful to resist the devil in that plight and put on our prayer garbs to remember them in prayer so that God may uphold them to the end. Pray for your spiritual leaders today.

SOLUTION: Let us create time to gather to pray for our spiritual leaders. The enemy is out to discomfit them so that we all may scatter as sheep without shepherd.

Please pray:

·      Give thanks to God for raising unto you pastors according to His heart

·      Pray God to touch the hearts of all pastors that they may only feed the flock with meals from heaven and not fables driven by the winds of doctrines

·      Ask God to shield your pastors from the darts flying from the realms of the enemy that they may not be touched, injured, or affected in any way thereby

·      Pray God to keep the shepherds in watch over the flock of God committed to their care

·      Pray that the blessings for the flock in doing all of these would never elude you
