Purge Satanic Content

Focus: John 14:30 - KJV

30. Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

John 17:13-19

The world is possessed of the prince thereof, the devil; and everyone that is of the world carries part of the baggage in it which of course, belongs to the devil. Such baggage are the results of the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who ransomed us from the world and its evil baggage, lived as the son of man in the world, yet He had no baggage of the world in Him. He refused to allow those things which are of the world identified in lusts, to get hold of Him. Hence, at the end of His journey, He was bold to declare that He had no worldly or satanic content anywhere in Him. Paul caught the vision and he also emptied himself of all the lusts found in the world that keep the baggage of the devil in the people thereof, so that when he finished his cause, he also declared that he was free of the burden.

It is not an easy task to live in the world without imbibing the things of the world in some form. The Lord found this true in Peter and prayed for him that he may not be submerged in the mire of the world. In the end, Peter succeeded by being separated from the world, even though he lived in the world. Hence, he was able to show Kingdom effects despite living in the world. The one who prayed for him knows we also require prayers; and like Peter, He prayed for everyone of us that we may be in the world without being of the world. In His prayers, He identified the way to so survive: it is through sanctification by the word, which is the truth. It follows that everyone who has in himself the word of God has no room left for the baggage of the devil.

Beloved, we must have noticed that it is difficult for lust in any way to enter into us when we are concentrated on the word of God. Our lustful looks, desire and pride are made possible when we shift focus from the word. For every time we dwell on the word, the seriousness thereof does not allow us to stray into worldly affairs. Surely, the antidote to the world, is the word of God. The extent of the word we allow into our beings, flushes out the garbage we had imbibed from the world. If therefore, we must like Christ and Paul be found without anything belonging to the prince of this world in us, then we must imbibe the word of God the more.

SOLUTION: Stay off distractions. All that is in social media that takes your time almost for the whole day, the news on television, movies and so on, are deliberate packages to stare you away from the word. Reduce or stop completely the time you devote to those and put such time into the study and meditation of the word instead.

Please pray: Father, everything that the world is pushing my way to distract me from imbibing your word, please do away with them in my life from today in Jesus’ name. Every evil content that I had imbibed by not concentrating on the word before now, kindly purge in Jesus’ name. From today, let your word find room in me, leaving no space for worldly content in Jesus’ name.

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
