Seek the Lord wholeheartedly

Focus: 2 Chronicles 15:12 - KJV

12. And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

2 Chronicles 20:1-4

There is opportunity for every believer to live a life above the wickedness of darkness while on earth if only they will seek the Lord their love and defense, wholeheartedly. Problem is, when things appear to be smooth, they forget all about God and keep themselves only in lip service unto Him. No wonder God Himself proclaimed that they only honor Him with their lips and their hearts are far from Him. It is when they run into a logjam that they remember to call on God and to seek His face. When Jehoshaphat had nothing bothering him, he did not proclaim a fast to seek the Lord. But when five Amorite kings ganged up against him and he perceived death was beckoning, he quickly returned to seek the Lord. Isn’t this the way we all treat our God who loves us beyond measures? If only we will take time to covenant with God to seek Him always with all our hearts, then will our hearts be guided by His Spirit and our actions will bring forth praise unto the One who guides us. When Jehoshaphat meaningfully sought the Lord, he needed not fight against those who rose against him. They fought themselves among themselves and defeated themselves. Whao! That simply is victory without a fight.

Friend, you can also experience unfettered victory without a fight if you will continually seek the Lord with your whole heart. It is that when you do so, He makes even your enemies to be at peace with you. They just decide by themselves to let you be. When you treat God like a spare tire kept in the trunk of your vehicle, He stays where you keep Him until you decide you need Him. At times, great devastation may have happened that the spare tire may be of no use anymore when the motorist is careless. The Lord is your best Ally in the journey of life. Why not seek Him wholeheartedly from hence?

SOLUTION: Separation from God is exposure to the devil. Seek God regularly and wholeheartedly while He is yet near and the day of evil has not come. Seek Him through regular worship and prayer devotions with scriptural studies. Don’t forget to proclaim His word to others too.

Our God will watch over you and protect you from the fangs of the evil one in the name of Jesus Christ. He will never leave nor forsake you for any reason in Jesus’ name. Whatever you will do that will cause the Holy Spirit to hands off your matter shall never happen in Jesus’ name. By the power in the name of Jesus, the Lord will surround you with a shield of fire to prevent the incursion of the devil into your space in Jesus’ name.
