Focus: Hebrews 4:12 - KJV
12. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Whatever the Lord says is true and will not go unfulfilled. Point is, those who toy with the word of God do not know what they are doing. Whenever God speaks, it is done. Not only that, the word has the tendency to explore and pierce the minds of the hearers to the extent of shattering their secrets and making them look stupid that had assumed they are wise. Ask David. In his mind, his nefarious activity with Bathsheba was covered forever. But when the word of God came through Nathan the prophet, all that was hidden became glaringly exposed. Although David sought and found forgiveness, the consequence of his misdeed lingers. When the same word comes to the disobedient in the form of a judgment, it is the consuming fire. Ask Nebuchadnezzar. When he refused to give glory to God as king in Assyria, he ended up a beast for seven years just as the Lord said it would be. When his son also ascended the throne and refused to learn from the misdeeds and punishment of the father, the hand of the Lord scripted his judgment in words that he could not interpret. Daniel interpreted it to him to mean the kingdom had been taken from him and that was how it was. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Ignoring the word of God is at the peril of the hearer.
Are you in anyway not paying attention to the instruction of God given to you by His word? Or are you in any way harboring a secret sin for which the Lord had spoken to you but you are pretending not to know? The word of God is very swift and powerful and it will prevail in the end. Don’t ever pitch yourself against the word of God. Those who did so in the past had themselves to blame.
SOLUTION: Be careful to hearken diligently to the word of God. Obey every bit of the word in your daily endeavors
The Almighty God will make His word work for and not against us in the name of Jesus Christ. Every part of the word that ought to work against you will only redirect you to salvation in Jesus’ name. Your tomorrow will be well even by the power in the word of God in Jesus name.
