Focus: 2 Chronicles 20:12 - KJV
12. O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.
Psalm 25:14-20
The pressure that comes upon the righteous when the enemy decides to taunt him is so much and he is unable to bear it alone. But those who know and rely on their God always find a way out in that they recognize that their strength is not able to see them through to victory. They rather place reliance on the one God who will not allow the rod of the wicked to rest upon the righteous. However, the Lord’s rescue is activated in such battle when we call upon Him. This was the example of Israel in the Bible when nations stronger than him moved against him. David was specifically noted for the same. No wonder he was almost always victorious in all his battles. He first sought the face of the Lord and committed the battles to Him and then his victory appeared.
Today, the Lord sees the battles confronting His children, the believers. There is hunger everywhere. That is great ambush. And as if that was not enough, the enemy is busy ambushing individual believers in numerous ways and they appear to be weighed down under the yoke of the pressure of the enemy. The Lord is available to fight the battles for us. He has come to remind us of the fact that all we need is to call on Him in the day of trouble. If we fail to call, we put ourselves in distress for nothing. Let us therefore be deliberate in making our pressures known to God and call Him to our rescue. He does not fail when we are found in His will.
SOLUTION: Take time to call on God regarding the enemy’s activities over your life. Let God arise that His enemies may scatter and you be left to have rest on all sides. Hold on: before you call, ensure you possess a pure heart and clean hands. Otherwise, it wont reach Him.
Please pray:
· Thank God for His faithfulness in keeping you up till today and not allowing the enemy to drown you.
· Ask God to continue to reign over your life and that He may arise concerning the current pressure as well as roaring of the enemy over your life
· Tell God to put an end to this enemy’s torment over your life just like He terminated the torment of Egypt over Israel
· Pray that God should intervene and rescue everyone that is tormented by hunger pangs at this time just like He did for Israel by the gate of Samaria
· Lay bear all your burdens before God today that He may take care of you.
