Specified Calling

Focus: Romans 1:1-2 – KJV: Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2. Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

Our God is never an author of confusion. For everyone He made, He has a specific purpose. Even though many have passed through the world without realizing the purpose for which they came, and many are yet in the world living aimlessly and fulfilling a routine which is completely outside the purpose of God for their lives. Truth is, whether or not we step into God’s purpose, He has His ways of bringing that which He has ordained to pass. But in the end, only those who operate in His purpose will earn His reward.

Jeremiah was born into the world looking for purpose in his adulthood whereas the Lord had called him to be His prophet, even before he was conceived in his mother’s womb. The man Saul of Tarsus had been called to be an apostle separated unto the Gospel of God whereas for so much time in his life, he engaged in the frolic of teaching and defending the laws of Moses, persecuting the purveyors of the same Gospel that he was called to be an apostle of. In the end, after he had found his calling and operated in it, he asserted that a crown awaited him.

Have you discovered the purpose for which God brought you into this world or are you just living each day sleeping, waking up, eating, playing and returning to sleep? The Lord is saying to you today that you need to redeem the time because every day spent outside God’s purpose is a waste of life. Look unto God today to declare to you with clarity what your purpose is on earth. Let it not be said of you that you have cumbered the land for nothing. Act now.

Prayer:

Father, I thank you for calling me into your will and purpose, even before I was formed in the womb. Forgive me for the times gone by without my being fervent in the purpose. From now on, please guide my steps that I may never again veer out of your purpose for the rest of my life. Clear every distraction from my path so that I may fulfil your purpose, in Jesus’ name. Amen
