Spirit And Heart Revival

Focus: Isaiah 57:15 - KJV

15. For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Luke 1:46-53

There is no doubt that our God who is the high and lofty One is holy and dwells in eternity. But His dwelling He also makes available unto some others. Even though these others wear the human flesh, by reason of certain things they carry, they are translated into the dwelling of the Lord without physically leaving the earth. When the Lord draws such into His abode of light, the same shows in the way they glow in their affairs on earth. So, God does not dwell alone in His Light. He draws to Himself those who are humble and of contrite heart so that as they dwell together, His presence revives and revitalizes them. This was what Christ described when He spoke about those born of the Spirit and He said as the wind blows whithersoever it wills and no one knows where it is from or where it goes, so is the one born of the Spirit. Literarily, such a person becomes a wonder. A great example is found in Mary, the mother of Jesus. The Lord drew her into His abode and she became transformed. For the first and only time known in human history, a woman conceived as a virgin. She became a wonder to her world. She was so blessed and made a blessing to mankind as the gift of God whom she carried is the Savior of the world. Wow! From her example and attributes, we find that God can make those with humble spirit – humble spirit in that she accepted the verdict of God for her life without much ado; and contrite heart – contrite heart in that her heart was pure and unpolluted with sin and transgression. She was practically untapped. Those tapped without marriage are somewhat filthy as they do not regard God in their hearts to obey Him, it will appear.

We can also have God draw us into His abode. All it takes is humility and a contrite heart. If we reckon that we had not been humble to obey God in times past, we can ask Him to forgive us and turn a new leaf from today. And if we had messed our hearts with evil thoughts that led to evil deeds in time past, we can also seek mercy and purify our hearts from now on. And pretty soon, as we dwell with the Lord in the high and holy place, far above principalities and powers, we also will start to radiate the shining from His light.

SOLUTION: Obey the Lord’s injunction always. Stay away from places and people who may pollute your heart and cause you to deliberate on impure things. Rather, put your thoughts into things that are good, acceptable unto God and glorify Him.

Thank you, father for loving us so much to create a place for us in your abode. Whatever will prevent us from being with you in your high and lofty place, please wash away with the blood of Jesus Christ in Jesus’ name. From today, please let each and everyone of us begin to enjoy your light as we dwell in your abode and are revived in Jesus’ name. In a greater form than you did for Mary and the people of the past, please make each one of us a wonder to our generations in Jesus’ name.
