Text: Revelation 1:7
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Bible Reading:
1 Corinthians 15:50-58
Message:
A mystery was introduced in scripture in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 which is given further elucidation in our Bible Reading today. It is encapsulated in the word rapture. An event is about to happen very soon indeed, when the saints will be caught up to meet with Christ in the sky. There will be a transformation of the body of the saints into a glorious body like Christ’s. It will be a great event but just a great spectacle for all those who pierced Christ and all the kindred of the earth who fail to acknowledge Him and live by Him. Marvel not at the expression those who pierced him. This is because everyone who fails to obey His commands and live according to the dictates of the enemy are in the act of piercing Him continually by their actions. He says in His Word that you should be in Him and have His Word be in you. That situation describes inseparability. So, every time you who already have yourself in Him and His Word in you operate in things He does not approve, you tear Him asunder and thereby pierce Him again. It is a source of great pain to your Creator. It has the consequence of making the culprit a mere spectator at the rapture. Equally the kindreds of the earth who have heard the gospel but refuse to yield thereto shall also be spectators at that event. What category do you belong? Are you rapturable or a would be spectator? If not yet rapturable, you can still change that now as you repent. God is beckoning on you to join the team of His saints. Spectators will be losers on that day because for them, there shall be weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. Stop piercing your Lord.
Prayer Guide:
Lord, by myself I cannot succeed. Help me to finish well and strong in you that I may be found worthy of you in the end in Jesus name.
