The blind hour
Key verse: Matthew 24:44 - KJV
44. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
The Lord is not subject to anyone. He is in charge of all that He created and therefore does as He pleases. In His love, He does nothing before first revealing it to His servants, the prophets. When He so reveals to the prophets as the watchmen, it behoves them to cry out when danger looms. If they so cry out, anyone that is consumed in the acts that follow has his blood upon his own hands. But where the watchmen fail to cry out and any be consumed as a result, then the blood of same is upon the hands of the watchmen that fail to cry out. When God was to destroy the world by flood, He told Noah to build an ark and gather all living beings in it. Lamech was Noah’s father. Aside Noah, he had other sons and daughters. It is presumable that when the Lord warned Noah about the flood, he would have warned his siblings at the least about the looming danger. Outside his nuclear family however, none other got into the ark.
Relationships are key to happiness upon the earth. However, God is no respecter of persons. Like at the time of Noah, he has further revealed through scriptures and even now through His prophets that a blind hour is coming. It is blind because none but the father knows the moment. All we can tell are signs and the fact that it will be sudden and like a thief in the night, without warning. The prophets have raised the alarm and we all are observing the signs. But what we see upon the earth is akin to the story of a cripple warned of an insurrection that is a few days away from his abode. Rather than take to flight putting himself together, he continues as if nothing was going to happen and like all the information is a fluke. When the insurrection did come, he lacked the ability to run to safety any longer and ended up being consumed in the insurrection.
Dearly beloved, the time for the separation of the wheat from the chaff is very near. It is nearer than it was when you took your last meal. A wise person will from now guard his ways so as not to be packed with the chaff into the fire. It doesn’t matter who you are related to; if there is a question mark on your relationship with Christ when He returns, the chance of making the harvest is rather slim. Two shall sleep in one bed and one shall be taken and the other left. Think about these things.
Pray: Father, please make me alert and ready when you shall harvest your church in the name of Jesus Christ.
