Christ has been in God from the foundations of the world. No one beholds the glory that Christ has in heaven and desires to remain on earth. Yet, we were all created to dwell on earth as if in a dream in space for some purpose and reason. When Stephen saw the Lord in His glory, he could have asked that he be kept alive but the beauty he saw was too enticing than for him to want to continue in the squalor that the earth represents. God is a prayer answering God. Christ had set His glory aside to come into the world to ransom the soul of man. He knew then what the glory He carried is like. Because of His character, He specifically requested the Father to let us also, who will later be His, through the preaching of the gospel, be admitted to where He normally would be that we may behold His glory.
Beholding His glory is being a partaker thereof. We start to radiate the same glory from our being in Him and having Him in us right here on earth. No wonder Paul assures that we are called by the preaching of the gospel to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Whao! This glory is so precious that no one can afford to miss or forfeit it. It may sound not so convincing to the undiscerning. But think about it: inside the glory Christ offers lies peace, joy, prosperity, good health and life, longevity, security and overwhelming wisdom. Many cannot see it as they look in wrong places for the evidence. Don’t look to everyone who says, “I’m a Christian”. Rather, look to those who are truly Christ-like and known by their fruit. The glory of Christ is bright and abhors darkness. Darkness cannot be found in it. The glory is real upon certain men even in this generation undeniably. When Moses got a glimpse, his face shone like light and mortals like him bowed to him. You can also stand up to be counted among the purveyors of the glory.
That which you radiate while on earth is a far cry from that which you will bear in heaven. You can’t afford to miss that. Act fast. Eschew darkness from now and embrace the gospel of light that you may become one of those recommended to obtain the glory of Christ.
Pray:
Father, I desire your glory; help me to obtain the same even from hence in Jesus name.
