That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

The Kingdom of God is based on the Spirit and the demonstration of power. This informs why Jesus Christ told the disciples they shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come on them and that they shall be witnesses. The coming of the Holy Ghost to give power is to aid witnessing so that the people may believe when they see signs and wonders.
Unfortunately, in the church of today, it is in oration and the wisdom of men that witnessing is done and the church is lacking in power. When in the year 2020 the covid-19 pandemic broke out, one would assume that the church will invoke the power of the Holy Spirit to confront the pandemic and bring back stability to the world. But alas! What did we see? We kept seeing conflicting theories and prophesies in the name of Jesus; gathering of the people who were thirsty for their God was suspended almost indefinitely without respite; the flock became scattered without a glimpse of the shepherds.
Meanwhile, if we are to be Christ-like, we are not to be high priests that cannot be touched with the people’s infirmities. The Church of Christ is not a powerless one. It is the lack of faith of the leaders of the day that is manifesting for all to see. Indeed, they have turned the Church to motivational gathering not teaching the word as given to them. Some others put jesters in the church just so as to draw a crowd into the congregation. All these are what Apostle Paul spoke against as the wisdom of men. This is the bane of the present Church that makes it so cold and consumed in darkness. What we now find is a Church where people prophesy in the name of the Lord when the Lord has not spoken to them. It shows in the pattern of their ministration and action.
This message is a reawakening to every member of the Church of God to eschew the wisdom of men in the things of the Kingdom. Let the power of God be shored up to conquer the power of darkness in this end time. The wisdom of men only ends up pushing people further into the peril of darkness rather than saving them from it. Let us turn a new leaf.
Pray:
Father, thank you for making us part of your kingdom. Please help us to put the power in your kingdom to effective use in this end time in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
