Wait

Focus: Psalms 37:7 - KJV

7. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Psalms 40:1-4

It is a good thing for us to put our trust in God and wait on Him. When we do so, we are bound to reap the full benefit of the Lord. If we do not, we are obviously the loser for it, for whenever the Lord makes a promise, He is righteous to keep it; wait for it, even though it tarries, it will not tarry, for it will surely come to pass. When we wait on the Lord our strength is renewed such that we are able to take to flight like the eagle because we are strengthened in the inner man by the Lord Himself.

The Lord had said if any believes in Him, though he be dead he would live again. Lazarus believed in him. He fell ill and eventually died. His siblings even though they were believers, did not trust the Lord enough to wait. They assumed He was late and therefore the situation was without remedy. They thereupon buried their dead. But the true God came and raised Lazarus from the dead after he was already stinking. David trusted and waited for the Lord and saw wonders. He refused to be confused or dissuaded from waiting for the Lord because of the seeming blossoming of the wicked. In the end, he saw his triumph over and above the wicked.

The Lord is asking us to abstain from the spirit of hastiness and rather wait upon Him. The Him we are to wait upon is His Word, an iota of which will not go unfulfilled. None of it would fall to the ground without accomplishing that for which it is sent. All we are asked to do is wait. It does not matter what the enemy does, God will come through if only we can wait on Him. Our focus should be on Him and not the seeming victory parade of the enemy. It is he that laughs last that laughs best. Just wait. Your celebration in that matter is assured. God is never too late.

As the Lord lives, before the next Sun rises, that unpalatable situation that seems insurmountable will give way to joy, in the name of Jesus. Everything for which the enemy has caused you to be mocked, shall bring to you reasons for celebration, in Jesus’ name. No matter how so far gone the bad situation has been, the Lord will bring about a turnaround for you to celebrate in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
