Blessing Prone Praise

Focus: Psalms 67:5-7 - KJV

5. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. 6. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. 7. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

2 Chronicles 20:18-23

In the days of the Old Testament, battles between nations were winner takes all kind of situation; and that was why there were spoils of war after every battle. Ironically, the array of chariots and horses most of the time, depicted the stronger army. However, in the face of the supernatural, the strongest army is a gathering of weaklings. The supernatural is brought to bear in the affairs of men by the instrumentality of praise and prayers, majorly. On the other hand, the earth might yield its increase to the lover of God in any manner the Lord wills it. Some might consider it wicked, but the truth is, the spoils of the wicked are preserved for the righteous. Hence, it is not always about the routine of tilling the soil and planting, that makes the earth yield its increase, solely.

Israel was sealed up by the Syrian army at the gate of Samaria in the days of Elisha. Famine and hunger ravaged the land therefor. The Lord spoke through His servant and one of the men in authority failed to acknowledge and give God praise for His word. Eventually, the Syrians heard a noise and fled, leaving behind all the spoil of war they took from battling with other lands. Israel became blessed for honoring and praising God for His word through the mouth of Elisha. On another occasion, Jehoshaphat went to battle with Ammon. He knew that praising God would make the earth yield its increase as God would release a blessing. Alas, he did not have to fight in the battle as the Lord did the fighting for him, and the spoils of war were his to keep. All because he appointed praise singers in honor of the words of God, through His servant the prophet.

Today, the Lord has seen all the atrocities of the enemy against us that are making many to quiver and query where the promises they have been hearing about are; and has decided to take over the battle by Himself just like He did at the gate of Samaria and to the Ammonite army. All we are invited to do in appreciation of the word of God is to praise Him. Through the offer of praise, the Lord is set to bless us and make the ends of the earth acknowledge and fear Him for our sakes. There is an assurance of very special blessings for everyone that will praise God today, despite glaring circumstances that negate praise.

SOLUTION: Whatever the situation may be, if there is still breath in your nostrils, orchestrate loud praise unto the Lord and see the blessings that will follow.

Please pray thus: Father, to you alone will all my praise be raised. As I praise you today, please fulfil your promise to bless me so that the ends of the earth may fear you for it, in the name of Jesus. Every obstacle to my progress and wellbeing, please demolish as a result of my praises to you in Jesus’ name. Let the spoil of the wicked be converted to me today, dear Lord in Jesus’ mighty name.

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
