Text: Jude 1:3
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Message:
The coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, His ministry, miracles and all was for that witnesses needed be raised to let the whole world know that salvation has come to all men as many as will believe. That is why Jesus commissioned every believer to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. Rather than preach to help others come to the saving grace of God, many claim they are saved and left others in the gulf of sin. Rather than light increasing and overwhelming darkness, what we find is the reverse. Now darkness is so overwhelming that it appears the faith is under the threat of being run over. No wonder Christ wondered if He would still meet the faith on earth when He returns. What is your contribution towards the spread of the light even as Christ has made us the light of the world? Why are you so timid and afraid of persecution from the other faiths thereby denying Christ here on earth? Why is your attitude portending being carefree whether or not the Christian faith is extinguished? Where is your commitment to the one who gave you life through salvation? Are you one of those who will rather preach a compromised sermon just for people’s acceptance? God is inviting you to contend for the faith that was delivered to you by Christ through the apostles not any adulterated faith. Don’t allow the enemy to scare you into disobeying the Christ by not bearing fruit by your contending for the faith. God is looking for you. He made you a soldier of the Cross for this purpose and for this day. If He is to meet faith upon His return depends on you. Yes, you. Take up the gauntlet today and affirm Christ by contending for the faith.
Prayer Guide:
Father, I need you to please strengthen me by your Spirit to be able to withstand every wile and attack of the enemy as I contend for the faith henceforth in Jesus name.
