Focus: Ephesians 2:10 - KJV
10. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:6-13
Our God is a God of purpose. He does nothing without a purpose. When He decided to rescue the earth from its rot, decay and shambles caused by darkness, He made man for a purpose, which was to superintend the new earth that was formed out of the water that submerged it after the creation of the heaven and earth. Unfortunately, man threw the earth back into rot, decay and shambles, by the acts of Eve and Adam which allowed darkness to return full swing upon the earth. By the time of Noah, the whole earth had returned full cycle to crass darkness. Hence, the return of the flood. But Noah was found to be of good works and therefore was given a rescue plan from the impending devastation the flood was to bring. He built an ark and floated in it with a few others. It is recorded that God remembered Noah. This suggests that unlike the initial state of the earth, God had reason to restore the earth because of Noah. He was preserved that he may restore good works upon the earth, through his genes. So, God blessed him.
Incidentally, Noah reintroduced darkness into the earth through his curse on Ham his son. Rather than the light of good works overwhelming the earth, Ham and his generation bore darkness and eventually infiltrated all the ranks of men with it. The God of purpose would however not relent until His purpose is fulfilled. Hence, He brought to fore the redemptive plan through Abram which culminated in having Jesus. Through Jesus, good works were reintroduced into the earth in the manner that God would want it. But the good works can only thrive if many men caught the drift and moved with the vision. Believers were therefore recruited as the salt of the earth to heal the decay and shine light for others to see through good works. Many are recruited in that light with clear instruction to shine the light and not be hidden because the believer is city set upon the hill. Alas! Despite all the effort of the church to recruit more believers unto good works, the rot has overtaken many and we are back to the state as it were in the days of Noah.
The Lord wants us to realize the reason we were made in the first place, and the basis of our redemption even now. It is only that we may be for good works, like Christ. It is no good work for believers to be found in any form of corrupt practices, immorality, transgenderism, sodomy, murder, kidnapping, sex trafficking, cheating, election swindling, pedophilia, slavery, lying or any such act or acts of darkness. It is a case of the salt losing its savor which is now prevalent in the world. If we must be right with our God, to fulfill the purpose for which He created us, then we should not only abstain from all these things, we must move critically against them and those who engage in them. The influence of the believer must be felt all over the world like a single candle light can overwhelm darkness in a given sphere. If we fail in our purpose, we cannot expect to take the benefit of the Lord. It is a deception to assume we can continue in sin and have grace abound unto us.
SOLUTION: Flee from every semblance of sin. Ensure you be the example of a shining light to your generation and the generations after. Let nothing evil be found with or in you. Recruit people to the kingdom of light by helping to draw them out of darkness, not only by your preaching, but also by your ways in life. The days we were warned about are here, and the owner of the earth is about to take it over and give to the righteous to tend. Will you be a part of the grand plan?
Please pray:
Father in heaven we love and appreciate you. We thank you significantly for creating us for a good purpose to bring forth good works. Please help us by your Spirit to fulfil your purpose and not fail you. Let the light from your Spirit remove every iota of darkness that may be lurking in any of us at this time, in Jesus’ name. Let the impact of the blood of Jesus be full and total in our lives and affairs from now on, in Jesus’ name. Help us, dear Lord, to redeem and win the world for you some more, so that the light on earth will be much more than the darkness thereat, that your purpose may be fulfilled in us. Let your light so shine through us from now on that we ourselves may begin to enjoy life in the light better than ever before, in Jesus’ name.
If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name
