Do Not Bow To Pressure

Focus: Revelation 3:21-22 - KJV

21. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

John 16:31-33

The aim of the devil is to pressurize every lover of Christ to denounce Him. The essence is to ensure man does not enter into the promise of God, which promise is for those who believe and do the will of the Christ. Nonetheless, the enemy knows God is righteous, and therefore he is of the view that when he makes us bow to pressure, we will deny God and forfeit the promise. Forfeiting the promise is tantamount to double jeopardy – suffering in this present world for the sake of the kingdom, and ending up not making the Kingdom.

Christ knew what the enemy would do to us, hence He told us tribulations are imminent. Glory be to God that He has overcome the world for our sakes that we may also overcome. At the same time, He would not allow us to be tempted beyond that which we can bear per time. We are therefore, enjoined strongly to endure hardship no matter how tough it may be for the sake of winning the crown which Christ has promised for the overcomers like Himself. Failing to overcome is a complete failure which is difficult to undo.

God wants us to stick with Christ no matter what. It was very tough for Job, but he did not die in his tribulations and because he overcame, he won greater joy and splendor. That is what the Lord is saying to us today. Many would scatter and go far from the ways of Christ. No, we speak not about physical presence in any location or denomination called Church, but truly being a part of the body of Christ genuinely, despite all odds. Yes, the greatest tribulation that a believer can experience is the buffeting through the hands of other brethren. Yet, it is no excuse to cave in and bow to Satan.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for the strength you give me through your Spirit to keep standing despite all manner of tribulations. Please toughen me the more to withstand and overcome the fiery darts from the enemy that I may be called an overcomer indeed, in the end, in Jesus’ name. Kindly preserve me to the end that I may gain the promised crown and partake of the fruits of the tree of life in the paradise of our God, in Jesus’ name. Let this day bring an end to all satanic offensive against my being, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
