A Change of Nature
True spiritual birth is a profound transformation. Just as a calf cannot suddenly become a lion and continue eating grass, a person born of God undergoes a fundamental shift in their "spiritual DNA." While we may have started as sinners, the moment we realize our identity in God, we are translated from sinfulness to righteousness. Living in sin after being born of God becomes an aberration—a contradiction of who we truly are. Because our Heavenly Father operates in righteousness, we, His offspring, are expected to live by that same nature.
The Story of the Lion-Sheep
There is a powerful story of a young lion who, separated from his mother during a stampede, was raised among a herd of sheep. He lived in fear, running from lions just as the sheep did, until one day he saw his own reflection in a brook. Recognizing he bore the semblance of the very lions he feared, he stopped running and approached them. They accepted him, and from that moment, he never returned to the life of a sheep. He found his true source and stuck with it.
Checking Your Genes
The Lord is calling every child of His to a "gene check." Since there is no sin in Him, there should be no habitual sin in those born of Him. We can no longer afford to live in a way that contradicts our divine heritage. Embracing righteous living is not just a duty; it is the path to life and eternal peace. Once you find your true source in God, you must stick with it and leave the life of "grass-eating" behind forever.
A Prophetic Blessing
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I decree that every line of deceit luring you into sin and darkness is broken today. May the Lord clear every cloud that makes you feel safe in sin and present you unto righteous living. From this day forward, you shall never be afraid of darkness again, for the light of God shines brightly in your life. Amen.
