Focus: 3 John 1:11 – KJV 11. Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Isaiah 1:16-20
Everything that has to do with evil is not of God. We cannot want to relate in God and operate in evil. It is a clear aberration. For us to be of God, righteousness must be located in us for, it is by it that we are confirmed to have been born of God. Part of the way to know the evil doer is that he loves not his brother. He finds his brother in need and turns his back rather than take responsibility where he can. Also, those who do evil works have not even had a glimpse of God not to talk of know Him, no matter the garb they bear. They that must be of God or know Him, must depart completely from evil, do good, seek peace and pursue it. When we do this, the Bible asserts that we shall live forever more. No wonder Christ said He has come to give life and life more abundantly. He is the author of righteousness and has shown us how to be righteous so as to live forever more.
Examples abound in scripture of them that eschewed evil and got the opportunity to live. Of Job, the Lord Himself testified to his separation from wickedness. As much as the enemy sought to push him into wickedness through pressure and affliction, he refused to be wicked and never used his lips against his God. In the end, he was restored double fold and his story finds prime place in the word of God. Joseph was of similar story. He was a slave in Potiphar’s house and had ‘opportunity’ to have the woman of the house to his side in an evil manner, but declined. His righteousness got him preserved and got his name written in gold as the deliverer of his people from famine. Saul of Tarsus left wickedness behind to embrace righteousness and never returned to wicked ways again. He became a frontline Apostle of Christ after the fact, as some would say. God is saying to us today to flee from everything that looks like evil and live forever more. Are you keen?
The Lord will make evil less attractive to every user of this Guide from today, in the name of Jesus. No matter the deception the enemy has adopted or may want to adopt to trap any of us into doing wickedly, the same will lose its potency, in Jesus’ name. The power to be righteous and be called sons of God, we receive from the throne of Grace, in Jesus’ name. The benefit of righteousness will begin to unfold to each of us from today in Jesus’ name. And, whatever we are going through, aimed by the enemy to make us deny our God, like he did to Job, is brought to an abrupt end now, in Jesus’ name. Everything that was lost to such experience are restored from hence, in Jesus’ name.
SOLUTION: Never allow yourself to be drawn into evil. Run away from it anywhere it shows itself. Be conscious of those things that constitute evil and avoid them. Then shall the Lord affirm your sonship and grant you life more abundantly.
