God Delivers His Beloved

Focus: Psalms 91:14 - KJV

14. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

Psalms 91:14-16

It is certain that God loves every one of us; but then He expects us to love Him in return. Truly, our God is not partial, but He pays more attention to them that love Him than He does with others. He has no mind for any to perish, but, in ordinary terms, those who practically disobey Him, refuse to love Him and are therefore, on a suicide mission by themselves. The Lord spends more of His care on the obedient and loving. He may because of His love, show mercy on the disobedient for a while, peradventure he may repent. But with His beloved, He stands solidly to deliver, promote and bless him. When the same is in trouble, before he calls, God answers him, and honors him. He does not only elongates his life; He also guarantees him eternal life. What a great benefit of love.

Ruth was a stranger to the commonwealth of Israel. However, despite the fact that tragedy struck Naomi and herself by being bereaved, she stood firmly with Naomi in an act of love for her, and strong love for her God. The Lord reckoned with that and therefore decided to deliver Ruth from widowhood by giving her a kind and wealthy suitor who eventually took her to wife. On the other hand, Michal was a princess in Israel but had no real value for the person of God to love and reverence Him. Hence, when her husband the king danced in the presence of the Ark of God’s covenant in the Lord’s honor, Michal despised him for doing so. The Lord then lightly esteemed her and she became barren. One can imagine that much entreaties would have been made for her unto God to no avail. He did not deliver her.

It is important for us to note that God takes special care of those who love Him. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hence, it is best we set our hearts to loving God than to falling unto the other side. They who do fall to the other side are great losers here on earth, and hereafter. Let us therefore be intentional about obeying the voice of the Lord our God to do everything that He commands us. It is in doing so that our love for Him is found. Once we so love Him, we have the assurance of His deliverance, answers to prayers, and salvation. He does not joke with His beloved ones. He protects them jealously.

Therefore, before you call on Him in any form of trouble or situation, He will answer and arise for your deliverance in Jesus’ name. Because you are His beloved, your life is preserved for longevity in the name of Jesus. No devil will be able to confront or withstand you in Jesus’ name. You will recover all you have lost to the enemy, and the Lord will promote you in the presence of your adversaries, in Jesus’ name.
