God Our Deliverer

Focus: 2 Timothy 4:18 - KJV

18. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

2 Timothy 4:9-18

At a point in the life of Paul, he was deserted by many of his acquaintances and many evil works were used to afflict him. His sustenance was premised on the hope he had in the great deliverer to deliver him in this world and preserve him for the world to come. He refused to despair or be discouraged from the assignment to which he was called because of the evil of desertion and affliction.

For as long as we remain faithful to God, loneliness will beckon at some point when others will assume we have gone mad about the Gospel. When they do desert and do all manner of evil to taunt us, we are to rest assured, like Paul, that the Lord will come through for us to deliver us. Except there be that hope in us, the tendency is for the victim to become a ship wreck, which is the intention of the enemy.

Please discountenance the wickedness targeted at you for standing on the truth, on the basis of the kingdom. Never allow the agilities of men to destroy your destiny and calling. Be true to God and look up to Him to deliver you. He will do so in no time.

Please pray:

Father, the pain from the attack of the enemy over my life is becoming so daunting and weighing me down. I know it is nothing compared to the glory you have laid up for me in the end. Help me with your strength to be able to pull through even as you come quickly to deliver me from the pressure of their evil works in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
