Focus: Isaiah 64:4 - KJV

4. For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

1 Corinthians 2:6-9

There is a great provision of great glory for those who wait on God. Hence, in this new year, God is looking to us to wait on Him so that we may access those things that eyes are yet to see, nor ears heard, nor even imagined in the thoughts of men. However, it is difficult to wait on God unless we do know Him upon whom we wait. It is possible to spend time studying characters in the Bible and assume we know the Lord. But the knowledge of the Lord is in studying His Son, Jesus Christ who is the Way, the truth and the life. He is God incarnate and it is only through Him that we know God. Those who study other characters are tended towards being like them in whom there were attributes that God does not approve for anyone who would wait on Him. Yes, like Elijah, there are attributes in Elisha that must not be emulated because they do not dovetail into love. Yet, God is Love. And of course, Paul told Timothy to follow him only to the extent that he followed Christ. Hence, if to some extent Paul is not in submission unto Christ, even he did not commend any such to us to follow.

It is safe therefore, to say that to wait on God, we must use the prism of Christ and not any other character or them that pride such above Christ, teaching things that are inimical to the Kingdom and disapproved of Christ. For you my beloved, to wait on God and be entitled to His preparations, learn to pursue peace with all men and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. Let your holiness be such from the heart and not feigned for people to see or mouthed in vanity. Rather, let the one who is holy and demands your holiness see by Himself that you possess a pure heart and clean hands. A heart that wants the child of another to go to hell, someone whom Christ died for, cannot be said to be pure. Neither can the hands that push people to their gloom. Do not engage in evil thoughts or actions. Let your speech be such that edifies, seasoned with grace to bring people unto God and not to push them away from Him. Operate the ministry of reconciliation and not that of the thief and hireling.

As you wait on the Lord from now by putting your hearts to love, God will take you above and will not allow you to be beneath in Jesus’ name. By the power that raised Jesus from the dead, you will not know death this year in Jesus’ name. And indeed, you will always tower above the spirit of death to conquer it in the name of Jesus.

SOLUTION: Wait on God as prescribed. Run and stare clear of deceivers this year. They only operate in the ministry of the devil. Do not let them mislead you. The preparation of God for those who wait is too precious to be missed, which preparation has been revealed to those that wait on God, by His Spirit. Wait on God and you will also have the knowledge of it.

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
