Grace From God’s Presence

Focus: Exodus 33:17 - KJV

ree

17. And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

Exodus 33:12-17

Grace is the unmerited favor of God that enables spiritual rebirth and sanctification. This is experienced through faith and not earned. Whenever the grace of God abides with someone, it is that God’s presence is with the same. And anyone that carries God’s presence knows Him to a large extent. Now, those who do know their God are strong and do exploits. When a man finds grace in the sight of the Lord, extraordinary matters become so ordinary with him. Not many people have such account as the matter of faith is not so common and finding grace in the sight of God is a matter of having faith in Him.

Moses found grace in the sight of the Lord. How do we imagine that a man would hear a voice of someone he could not see and follow the prompt from the voice? That is faith. By reason of it, God made Himself known to Moses (at least he saw the backside of the Lord in passing). The grace he received through faith made him to part the Sea, bring water from the rock, and do many other wonderous works that made Israel revere him. Noah found grace in the sight of the Lord and he built an Ark of safety that preserved mankind on earth. Abraham found grace in the sight of God and became a father of many nations and indeed, the father of faith.

The grace of God abounds in the current dispensation but the lack of faith is preventing the manifestation of the works of grace. God, through His loving kindness is willing to draw many to Himself but the lack of faith has made them to disbelieve and not know Him sufficiently enough to operate in His grace. When we hold Him by His word, He makes Himself known to us. Through it, we find grace in His sight and He reveals Himself to us the more, even more than He revealed to Moses. But when we refuse to accept that He is, then there is no seeking Him and therefore there is a forfeiture of the reward of seeking Him diligently. Let us begin to believe God the more so that we may find grace in the sight of God.

Please pray:

Father, we thank you for all you have been doing for us from the beginning of our individual lives. We look to you today for your enabling presence in all we do. Like Moses prayed to you, please let your presence go with us. Give us the grace to know you the more and follow you in all your leadings and guidance, in the name of Jesus. We have confidence in you and know that you cannot fail us. Let us therefore find grace in your sight and favor us with your constant presence, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
