Focus: Job 19:25-27 - KJV
25. For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26. And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: 27. Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
Isaiah 44:6-8
Many indeed, are the afflictions of the righteous man, but the Lord, his Redeemer sees him through them all. It is a big challenge to operate as a beloved and, possibly the doyen of God, and not be scourged with afflictions. They whom God do love are envied by the devil who cannot stick them occupying a position he fell from. Hence, he does everything practically possible to make them challenge the authority of God and be banished like himself. The beauty of being God’s is that, there is none greater than God in anything or in any sphere. The person and promises of God keep His beloved afloat no matter what the devil tries. However, without faith/confidence in God, it is impossible to please Him.
The man Job, was God’s doyen at his time. Even the Lord Himself gave a testimonial regarding Job. But the enemy could not stick Job for being God’s beloved. He did everything to bring him down from hero to zero. Yet, Job could not be made to curse God or challenge His authority in any way. God, who has a promise never to leave or forsake His beloved, gave the enemy a bar of the extent he could go in Job’s temptation. While the situation persisted, Job did not find it funny. He cursed all curse-able, but not God. To gain victory over the enemy, the Lord taught Job love and not vengeance. When he prayed for his friends who buffeted him in the days of his travails, he got restored.
The Lord is teaching us to remain steadfast and immovable in the face of tribulations for we do have Him, the Almighty, beside us as our mighty Ally. There is no extent that we have been tormented that God cannot restore us. Hence, He insists that we retain faith in Him and obey His commandment to love. Never repay evil with evil, no matter the situation. The one responsible for the affliction is the devil and not his human tools who we see. It is when we show love to them that we do obey the Lord’s command and show Him love too. He has not failed before, and He is not about to do so, in whatever matter we are in.
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for always being my Redeemer, the Holy One of Jacob. I have gone through trials, temptations and tribulations in the hands of the enemy and mean men; the pain is gruesome and tiring. I However look up to you, Lord for your rescue arm. Please, rescue me from the horrible pit where the enemy has kept me, in Jesus’ name. Draw me out of the prison where I have been chained just because I love you. Please look down from your heaven and let not the enemy triumph over me. Restore to me therefore, everything that I have lost to the enemy’s torment and I will forever praise you, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
