Help Vineyard Workers

Focus: Philippians 4:3 - KJV

Acts 9:36-39

According to scripture, the women are considered the weaker vessels as against the men. In every congregation, there are both male and female laborers in the vineyard. More often than not, the women laborers are at the lower ebb regarding personal needs and wellbeing. Whether male or female, every vineyard worker ought to be accorded assistance for the sake of the ministry. Much more so are the women who particularly are widows. Many of them contribute their quota to labor for the ministry trusting that God would look on them to favor them. When we take care of them, we do it on God’s behalf.

Tabitha was a laborer in the vineyard taking care of the vulnerable and widows. When she ran into a huge problem herself, the Church could not leave her to her fate because she had been a great worker and supporter of the ministry through the kind works’ she did amongst the widows. In truth she was not only sick but actually died. But the Church rallied around for help to ransom her from the place of death back to life by summoning the head of the Church.

The Lord is saying to us today, that no one knows when and how his period of great need would come. If we do not support those that are in need today, how would the brethren remember our good deeds and feel indebted to us when our time of need does arise and we need help. A sanitation worker can say a word to a relative or family friend that can change the life of a millionaire in trouble, forever. The Church is God’s way of creating for us a community that thrives in helping one another. Never bathe an eye when there is occasion to help workers in the vineyard. Their prayers that God may bless you, rendered with joy, meets with approval in God’s heart. Do not miss the opportunity.

Please pray:

Thank you, father for the resources you have put in my care that I do not have to beg bread. I know you gave me the much so that as your treasurer, I may care for others. Please help me to be helpful to others particularly workers in your vineyard who have critical needs, in Jesus’ name. Let me never miss an opportunity to be blessed in being a blessing to your workers, O Lord, in Jesus’ name. As I minister help to others, please send help to me and my family wherever the need arises, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
