Joyful Noise

Writer's picture: Jide OlaoreJide Olaore

Focus: Psalms 66:1-3 - KJV

1. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: 2. Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious. 3. Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

Psalms 95:1-9

It is the beginning of the month that divides the year into two. Glory be to God for keeping us thus far. A cursory look at life generally, reveals that even from the beginning of the year and up till now, so much water has passed under the bridge; yet the Lord has been faithful to us, keeping us away from the fangs of the enemy. Indeed, many are not able to stay in their usual abodes again because the devil has struck in their land; many others do not know where the next supply would come from for their sustenance; yet, many more do not even have the hope of a tomorrow, having been battered, shattered and maimed. Even if someone belongs to any of the aforementioned categories, the same has reasons to still appreciate God in that, he is alive to witness a new day and month and can still be redeemed from his current predicament. He is better than the dead.

If it had not been for the Lord that has so kept us, what would we have been saying today? How do we pay back this awesome God who is so terrible to the wicked? The creator of the hills and the seas knows how He keeps us from the hands of the enemy, whether he comes from the winds, the sea or over the land, God takes us away from his reach. Let us therefore, make a joyful noise unto the Lord of our salvation. Let us lift our voices in a great cry towards heaven, that the angels may join us in a melody unto our protector and lifter up of our heads. David knew to do this, almost all the time, and by so doing he had constant victory in his battles. Let the Lord hear the cry of our appreciation so that like He did to David, He may also keep us away from the hands of the enemy, perpetually.

Friends, whatever we think we are passing through could have been worse, if not for the mercies of God. There is no gain saying that the perilous times are here. What is important is what we do with our faith at such a time as this. If indeed we belong to God, it is not time to murmur like the Israelis in the wilderness; rather it is time to make a joyful noise and declare our trust in the Lord who has our destinies in His hands. Like He did for Israel, standing solidly for and behind them, if we will assert our confidence in Him at this time, we shall surely see how good our God is. Let us therefore, with clear minds, make a joyful noise unto our God knowing that He that brought us into this new month will surely see us through the year, and many more to come. No devil will truncate that. Happy New Month! Rejoice!

SOLUTION: Lay aside every weight that makes you think there is no reason to be thankful; and deliberately make a joyful noise unto God in appreciation of His good deeds towards you. If you can, assemble musical instruments and be loud in your praises unto Him; otherwise, put your hands together loudly as you raise your voice at the highest pitch in praises unto the Lord, today.

Please pray: Father, I praise your holy name and with everything in me, I acknowledge your kindness and supremacy over everything that people call gods. I will praise you forever and as long as I live, by the help of your Spirit, in Jesus’ name. As I praise you today, let the light of your countenance blow away everything called darkness around me, in Jesus’ name.

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
