Keep The Faith

ree

Focus: 2 Timothy 4:7-8 - KJV

7. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

1 Timothy 6:11-16

There is a faith that the believer is called into: it is to observe and do according to the dictates of God through Christ, holding ourselves pure and keeping the focus on the very goal for which we were redeemed which is that as we have obtained victory over death through the death and resurrection of Christ, we may remain unblameable in all we do so that in the end we may receive the crown of righteousness and have life in eternity. Until we are able to stand tall and say to the devil that we have run a good course and have nothing of the devil in us, we are yet to keep the faith and we are not assured of life.

Paul, before his conversion was operating in wickedness believing that he was doing it for God. When he came to the realization of the person of God through Christ, he became so resolute for God and the faith in Him that he had found. He ensured he had no more relationship with the works of evil but pursued righteousness, as he understood it, from Christ. When Peter caught the drift that every man is of God and must be shown love just like Christ loves all, he shed his wrong ideas about things he called common and unclean that God had not so designated. He realized that the faith was for the ransom of all and not just one nation. He began to behave towards all as God would want him to, just as Christ had instructed him.

There is no room in the faith that we received of God through Christ for unrighteousness, ungodliness, impatience or haughtiness of heart towards any man. We are called to love, and love we must until we meet with the Lord. In loving, we must present to the informed the truth of the faith that we have received that they also may come to an inheritance in God, not to perish in darkness but to dine with Christ in the very end. God is saying there is no keeping the faith by merely receiving the truth of the faith and doing nothing with or about it. We are to act the faith and extend it to others so that our calling may be sure and we may not be deprived of our reward in the end.

Please pray:

Father, your faith in us has kept us afloat thus far. Please do not let us occupy space or time for nothing in Jesus’ name. Help us to be pleasing unto you in every area of our individual lives, in Jesus’ name. We pray for every individual being upon the earth, please move by your Spirit to make clear their understanding of the faith that we have in you, that they also may be partakers thereof to the glory of your name, in Jesus’ name. Let this day mark a turning point in the lives of men that they may not fall for the deception of the devil anymore, in Jesus’ name. Please let your Kingdom come, O Lord, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
