20. According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

Romans 12:1-3

In the Old Testament times, the idea of a sacrifice was that the animal is brought in place of the person for a particular purpose unto God through the priest. When the person releases the animal to the priest, he does as he pleases with the animal based on the directive of God without the person wresting the animal back from the priest. In the current testament, everyone that has surrendered his life to Christ has given himself up as a living sacrifice. It is whatever Christ likes that He can do with such life. Once surrendered, there is no basis for wresting the life from Christ again. Bro Paul was a Professor of law in a manner of speaking. When he gave his life to Christ, he became Christ’s messenger doing only what Christ willed and not necessarily his own personal will and ambition anymore. Funny enough, with all that he was confronted with, he was never ashamed of being Christ’s messenger and fulfilling the will of God for his life. So, this he did that Christ to whom he had been sacrificed at the point of redemption, may be magnified in his body. It was no longer about him but about Christ.

Dear friend, if truly you are of Christ, then let Him be the One who directs the affairs of your life henceforth. Those who understand this will tell us that although they had trained to become particular professionals but once Christ took over, they have only been what/whom Christ wants them to be. Are we all therefore going to be ministers of the Gospel? Not quite. But Christ determines what He does with His sacrifice. He may decide to use you as a medical doctor in medical science to win the world. Point is, whether your body be still living or dead, it belongs to Christ who paid a high price for it. Let therefore Christ alone be magnified in your body.

SOLUTION: No slave tells his master where or when he would work. Though Christ has purchased us with His blood and therefore we ought to be accounted as slaves to Him, He does not regard us as such but we remain a living sacrifice to Him. Submit totally unto Him and His will. Don’t ever superimpose your will over His. It never gels that way.

The grace to submit unto God and His perfect will for your life, the Lord will give to you today in Jesus name. Every cloud of lies directing you in the wrong direction against the will of God shall be blown away completely in Jesus name. Go and fulfil destiny in Christ.
