Overwhelming Blessedness

Focus: Genesis 39:2-3 - KJV

2. And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

1 Samuel 16:14-23

Something marks the believer out from others. The Lord is with him and he is never alone, by himself. Jesus Christ is our Master and example of who a believer is like. Peter told us about the blessedness of Christ in that God was with Him. Anyone that has God with him goes about doing good and his blessedness stands him out in that whatever he lays his hands to do prospers. His prosperity is not the crooked type of the world; but flows divinely without any clandestine maneuvering of any kind. Wherever he is, the divine presence shows round about him. It just flows divinely so. And it is seen by all present. It is about carrying the aura of God wherever we go.

Jacob was like a slave in his uncle’s house but everyone noticed the change in the uncle’s fortune because he was present. Joseph was a slave in Potiphar’s house but his presence in the house brought a change of fortune to the master. Madness was worrying king Saul that made him to seek therapy. Without having a precedent of David healing a mad man before, he invited David to play for him to douse and relieve the king from his psychiatric spasms and fits. All these people had something in common: they carried the presence of God.

Today, the Lord wants us all to understand that without Him, we can achieve nothing. It is futile for us to continue like in a rat race in life as there will really be nothing to show for it. No wonder it is said that the race is not for the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happens to them all. Time and chance is orchestrated by the presence of God because He orders the steps of the righteous. So, let us be careful to carry the person of God with us inseparably, wherever we go and the difference will be clear and glaring.

SOLUTION: God seeks human characters to work through since He is a Spirit. If we surrender our being to Him for His use on earth, He broods over us and we become beneficiaries of His presence, glory and shine. It is great blessedness to carry God around.

Please pray:

·      Thank God for the grace to carry Him and His presence around wherever you go

·      Ask God for forgiveness for carrying His temple into wrong actions and places in times past

·      Pray that the Lord never leaves or forsakes you no matter the circumstance

·    Pray that the Lord will make the blessedness of His presence show in your life wherever you go

·      Ask for your daily bread for today

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
