Please Be Patient

Focus: James 5:7-8 - KJV

7. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

James 5:7-11

Blessed be God for a wonderful year that is about to close. The year started on a rough shod and appears to be ending in a worse state than it started for many. Some are able to lift their heads and say it has been a good year. But many have fasted and prayed from the beginning of the year for certain things to change but never saw a difference up till now. Patience is the key. For it is not over until we win. When the farmer does his planting, he waits out the time for it to grow and mature before there can be a harvest. If the farmer out of impatience decide to uproot the planting midway, his harvest will be lost. But when he waits patiently, the rains come and the things planted after being watered by the rains, grow exponentially and the yield even catches the fancy of the farmer. The same is true about our prayers that we have sown in the course of the year. Some are beginning to say God no longer answers. It is not true. Remember Job. Although he had no fault when the enemy decided to mesmerize him, (like he is doing to many nations and people today), he continued to wait patiently on God without offending Him with his words. When “the rains came” for him, he was restored more than double from where he got devastated. The Lord is about to send His rains on our prayers: both the former and the latter rain. The effect will be horrendous and we shall indeed shout Hallelujah unto the Lord real soon. Please be patient.

The things that seem to be making you despair and want to turn your back on the things of God are absolutely temporary. God is working out the escape that will cause your joy to be full. But impatience can truncate the things that God has already put in motion. The blessing that the Lord is bringing is such that none can gainsay. Let us therefore, wait patiently for that which the Lord is set to do and He will put laughter in our mouths real soon in Jesus’ name.

SOLUTION: Patience is a great virtue. Please be patient. Let God prove Himself in His time. He is always on time. Keep the prayer fire burning. Never relent.

Father, the heathen is already asking where is their God! Please Lord do not delay any further in hearkening to the voices and cries of your people over the devastating tribulation being experienced in recent times including the natural upheavals. Daddy, please arise for your people in Jesus’ name. Let not the enemy mock us any further Lord. Please restore all our captivities and let your name be glorified in your Church and in our lives in Jesus’ name. By your rains that will come for our succor, let many more be drawn to your service dear Lord, in Jesus’ name.
