Put wisdom to right use

Text: James 3:17

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Bible Reading:

James 3:13-18

Message:

Wisdom is of our God and Jesus Christ is the Wisdom of God. Wisdom of course is the principal thing that man ought to get. Nevertheless, not all things that appear like wisdom is of God. The wisdom of God is definitely from above, from a kingdom replete with purity, peace, gentleness, teach-ability, mercy and the fruit of the spirit. Every manifestation of wisdom that is devoid of love as the end product is, though apparently intelligible but qualifies only as inverted wisdom otherwise called wisdom of the world. Every application of intelligence to hurt a fellow being is never from above. Indeed, most application of same qualify as abomination unto God in that they are lie, discord, cheat and all manner of vices prone. They are pretentious and never mean well in the end for a particular person or a group of persons. They are not of God. Although God prided Balaam so much that He accorded him so much power that he is one of the only two in the Bible whose words God did not allow to fall to the ground in the Old Testament, yet he proffered “wisdom” to Balak on a scheme to defeat Israel. Sounded so ingenious and succeeded; but then it was never of the Lord. That which the Lord has endowed you with can be used positively for love. Don’t allow any adulteration or manipulation that will make you use the same for the destruction or pulling down of a fellow being. At the end, it operates like a boomerang. Whatsoever a man sows, the same shall he reap. Run away from reaping the fruits of evil by refusing to sow evil. Obtain godly wisdom and use the same for God’s pleasure only, always. You surely will end well.

Prayer Guide:

Father, I look up to you for wisdom to do well in this life: please endow me with your wisdom and the grace to use it for your purpose only in Jesus name.
