Put Your Talents To Full Use

Focus: Matthew 25:19-20 - KJV

19. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

Luke 16:1-2

There is no investor that loves to see or hear that his investment is wasted or flushed down the drains. Our God is a great investor. He has given unto each and every one of us talents with a view to profiting withal. Not so that we may add anything to Him but unto ourselves, when we profit with the talents. For, like the narrative in the Lord’s parable, when we make more talents for the Lord, it is added to us.

There are those who received the talents and do nothing with it. Even though they are the ones at loss for not having anything to show and acquire, the Lord is equally not happy with them for being so wasteful. They are seen of God as being unfaithful and therefore meant for punishment. This is never the mind of God for those He loves. But as a prudent investor, He would have preferred to give His talents to those that would prosper by it than allow it go to waste.

Today, the Lord is saying to us that there is no one on His side that is not imbued with talents according to our several abilities. If we put the talents to good use, we are bound to profit from it. If we do not, we lose that which is also given to us and that is not a good state at all. The Lord is enjoining us not to be wasteful but trade with the talents we have for the purposes of the Kingdom, so that by it, many more may get to experience the goodness of God and our profiting may be sure.

SOLUTION: What is it that the Lord has called you into and you are reneging from doing it? As you renege, God is not happy for He has supplied your need for that to which He has called you. Be careful therefore, to put your talents/full potentials to use and see the Lord prosper your works for your profiting thereby.

Please pray:

·      Give thanks to God for that which He has given to you to trade with for the purposes of His Kingdom

·      Ask God to please open your eyes to the purpose He has for you that you may utilize your talents therefor, fully for profit

·      Pray God to please prosper the works of your hands as you put His talents to use

·      Ask God to multiply His talents in your hands as you continue to trade with it

·      Ask God to meet you at the point of your own peculiar needs even as you are trading with the talents He gave you
