Safe Hiding Place

Focus: Psalms 32:7 - KJV

7. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

Psalms 31:1-5

Life is full of trouble. The crisis projected at man each day is really too much for him to bear. No wonder scriptures say, sufficient for the day are the evils thereof. The size of the troubles that the enemy prepares for us daily is such that we ought to be suffocated but by the mercy of God we overcome and survive them. It is only the thoughtful that realize this. David was a man after God’s own heart. He was a champion of a great champion and thereby that of his nation at a very tender age. When the enemy saw what God had done by the hands of David, he moved against him swiftly turning the most powerful person in his nation against him. David became a fugitive and hid himself and companions in a cave, or in a manner of speaking, a rock. But the enemy found him out and told the king how and where to find him. But the Lord who is a sure rock of offense and defense to those who fear Him, gave David and his team cover. David realized that it was not Adullam that protected him but the Rock of Ages Himself. He is the surest hiding place for every believer. It is by His effective cover that the enemy has not been able to reach us to perform his enterprise which is to steal, to kill and to destroy.

Beloved, your safety is in the Lord. It does not matter how fierce the opposition against you may be, once you are on the side of the Lord, He has you covered. If not for God, David would have been killed by Saul. The One who preserved David is still at work in your life. Don’t be cowed by the stature or boisterous mien of the enemy. God is greater and much more assuring than anyone or thing that you are running to for cover. Get yourself secured in the sure hiding place. He is the real Rock that is our Fortress. Hallelujah!

SOLUTION: Submit yourself unto the Lord. Stop making Him appear incapable in your matter. Self-precaution is good; but trust in the Lord. He took care of you at night while you were in the dream world; how much more now.

The holy One of Israel will take care of you to the very end in the name of Jesus. The One whose name is a strong tower will make you surely secured from the pursuit of the enemy in all spheres and ramification in Jesus’ name. From this time on, every enemy seeking to hurt you will never be able to locate you again in Jesus’ name.
