Stability Of Times

6. And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

Isaiah 33:1-6

Beloved, welcome to the ninth month of the year. This shall be unto all users of this Devotional, a month of victory over all oppressions and spoiling, in Jesus’ name. There are people whose dealings are to spoil others and to deal treacherously with them, cooking up lies and disparaging others for personal gains. They that are spoiled will in the end rejoice because there is nothing done that has no harvest. But the one that is being spoilt needs to acquire knowledge and apply it wisely for the spoiler not to keep thriving over his life. It is in wisdom that he begins to operate in the fear of the Lord and thereby be saved by God from the hands of the wicked that disparages him for no just cause. When the Lord steps in, the table is turned and the oppressor becomes the oppressed and begins to feel the effect of his own wickedness.

It was indeed, no brainer for Haman, being the king’s lieutenant and highly rated, to be so treacherous against a mere gate keeper called Mordecai to begin to spoil him and his people in the sight of the king with a view to annihilating them all. For long, he thrived in his act and went on with it signing decrees and what not to get the backing of the king to achieve his evil enterprise. But Mordecai was imbued with the knowledge of God and he applied the same into fearing God. In his wisdom, he prepared his niece to contest to be queen and at the most crucial time asked for her voice to the king in defense of her people. The one who had decrees signed for him became the first victim of the guillotine and the one he spoiled was given a signet with authority to give support to his people to defend themselves. In the end, the Jews in Shushan lived, but Haman and his army of destroyers did not.

Like God arose for Mordecai and the Jewish nation at that time, He is set to do the same for everyone who is put under the yoke of oppression and treachery by some others who assume because they are close to the corridors of power they can control the destinies of others, as they like. All the Lord is asking for from us is to apply our hearts to wisdom. We have no greater ally than God who has promised never to leave or forsake us. It is when it appears most hopeless that our Lord will arise, and that time is now. If you are the aggressor putting others in bondage through spoiling and treacherous acts, the Lord has created a room for salvation even for you: all you need to do is retrace your steps in the fear of God, forsake the evil ways and you will be saved from the repercussions of your old deeds. As the Lord lives, who is the Defender of the defenseless, in this new month, God will stabilize your times and take you away from the heat of the treachery projected against you, in Jesus’ name. As it is written that he who digs a pit shall fall therein himself, every wicked plot aimed against your wellbeing shall boomerang on the plotter in Jesus’ name. Before this month is over, you will see the salvation of the Lord and you shall be promoted of Him in Jesus’ name.
