"For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."— Galatians 6:8 (KJV)
Happy New Month. May this new month result in great abundance unto us in Jesus’ name. Every single day, your life operates as a field. Every thought you entertain, every word you speak, and every action you take is a seed dropped into the soil of your future.
Apostle Paul uses the absolute, unyielding law of agriculture to show us a profound spiritual reality: you cannot choose your harvest, but you do choose your seed.
Sowing to the flesh means feeding your human nature—giving in to selfish desires, keeping score of offenses, pursuing pride, or prioritizing worldly comfort over God's will. This kind of farming looks easy at first, but the harvest is devastating. It yields "corruption," which means decay, broken relationships, a compromised character, and emotional ruin. Conversely, sowing to the Spirit requires intentional, daily discipline. It means choosing prayer over worry, forgiveness over resentment, and obedience to God's Word over human impulses. This spiritual farming often feels difficult and goes completely unnoticed by the world. However, the return on your investment is unparalleled: a rich harvest of divine peace, spiritual maturity, and "life everlasting." You are pulling the very atmosphere of heaven into your earthly reality today.
Nothing you do is completely neutral; every choice you make today is either feeding your old nature or cultivating your spiritual growth. Spiritual laws are just as real as gravity. If you consistently sow the right seeds, you will eventually reap the right results. Earthly pleasures fade instantly, but the time and energy you spend investing in your relationship with God yields a permanent, joyful return. Take a close look at the "seeds" you have dropped into your life over the past 24 hours. What kind of harvest are they going to produce in your health, your mind, and your relationships?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the grace of a new month. Let all my past sowings bring for me good and worthy harvest in you. Going forward and particularly in this month, let me sow wisely to the Spirit that I may reap bountifully and in umparalleled manner, in Jesus’ name.
Please share. God bless you.
