Text: Psalms 141:2
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
Bible Reading:
Matthew 6:9-13
Message:
The Lord is near to those who call on His holy name. Sin is a reproach to many people. Where sin resides, God is not allowed into. Whenever sin is found with anyone or people, such have removed the hands of God and His goodness from their equation. Ironically, despite going into such a terrible state headlong, man refuses to see the need to seek help from God and continue to accumulate the problem with pride in not seeking the face of the Lord in prayer. Your not praying is tantamount to pride in that you assume you can go through without God. Yet without Him you can do nothing. That is why He says “if my people that are called by my name will humble themselves and pray….” If you belong to God, called by His name, you need to approach Him in humility through prayer. The template and guide as to how to pray He also gave us in our Bible Reading. When Daniel prayed based on the same template fairly, he received angelic visitation and answer to his request. Take your burdens to the Lord in prayer today. Premise your request more on kingdom pursuits like Hannah did and not necessarily to consume the result on your lusts. God is faithful to answer your prayers. Except that He doesn’t like giving His precious things to His enemies and therefore He says we should not cast our pearls unto swine. Who are you to God: His child, His son, a dog or a swine. Your relationship determines your qualification for answer to prayer. Make amends today while there is time.
Prayer Guide:
Father, help me to constantly appear humbly before you in prayer asking according to your will that I may enjoy the good of the land in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
