2. God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
Acts 8:26-37
Recently, a fellow put some recording on social media to disparage Christ and promote Mohammed and Moses instead. Many were eager to spread the faulty assertions and believe the lies he put forward. He contended that because Mohammed came after Christ he should be taken as more current even as Christians say Christ came after Moses and is more current. He also said they are all messengers of the same person, God. Unfortunately, his assertions which are very faulty and lacking in understanding may have led some into the bondage of darkness. Meanwhile, wisdom is the principal thing, and in your getting, get understanding, says the good Book.
There was a religious fellow from Ethiopia like many of our friends that we speak of. He had gone to the place of worship and was returning, yet he lacked understanding of what he had heard and was reading. Until the disciple Philip opened his inner eyes from where he was standing (under-standing), he did not get the truth of what he read. So are many today who operate in religiosity. They are confused by the rulers of darkness so that their thinking be darkened and not get to see the light. Meanwhile, heaven is still seeking them that have understanding of the truth to send to help free men from the shackles that bind their sights. Alas, like the time of Philip, they are very few indeed. That’s why Philip had to be ferried from a crusade to render the ministration to the Eunuch, because though the harvest be plenty, the laborers were rather few.
As it was then, it is even worse now. Understanding is much more lacking today than the days of the early apostles. God is searching for people to send to gain souls to His kingdom. Sending those who lack understanding will tantamount to making the blind lead the blind, which is so much prevalent everywhere today. Yet there is only one undeniable way to the father. Even Mohammed was quoted as saying he knew not where he was going. Moses himself spoke of the coming of the Messiah before he was packed off the earth. It is not in any way glorious to follow the ones whom Christ referred to as hirelings; they cannot lead us to the father. Get understanding of the good news today and embrace the truth with understanding, so that you may be free.
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for the wisdom you instilled in me to believe Jesus as the Lord of my life. Equip me with much more understanding so that I may rightly portray the way to others and bring them out of the deception of the devil, in Jesus’ name. Please put away the blindfold that the devil has placed on men that makes them not see the truth, in Jesus’ name. Above all, let not my understanding be darkened, ever, that I may always be available for your use, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
