You cannot give what you do not have
Text: Luke 6:40
The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
You are a servant of whom you obey. The one you obey is constantly above you and you cannot perform above his spiritual limit and capacity. More and more as you obey your master you begin to look and be like him. What you get from him is only what he can give and not what he does not possess. Everyone in the faith is directed to look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. He is our Master and we obey Him so as to be like Him in all ramifications. Anyone who claims to be of the faith who fails to obey Him is not of Him as disobedience to His commands is obedience to the devil and therefore disciple of the devil. Since a disciple is not above his master such cannot perform better than his master the devil. The fruit the same bears is far from righteousness continually. Though he pretends to be of the Lord, he is not able to show forth the fruit of the Spirit. He speaks ill from his mouth continually. He fanes righteousness wanting to correct others meanwhile he is full of unrighteousness himself. Even the devil his master knows him and because his building lacks a solid foundation, the devil his master in whom exists no love but hate and destruction is bound to come someday to pull down the fake building. Does this in anyway describe you? Are you in anyway operating in disobedience to God and still pretend to be His by calling Him Lord? Repent urgently and He will receive you back. Make Him your Master truly and He will be there for you. Then are you able to impact your world positively.
Help me O Lord, that I may remain obedient to you and you alone throughout my life that I may be like you more and more in Jesus name.
