Angelic Protection

Focus: Psalms 34:7 - KJV

7. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

Matthew 26:51-53

There is a great gain in holding the Lord in awe by being obedient to Him and doing nothing to challenge His authority. For those who do fear Him enjoy so much benefit from doing so. He not only favors them by being so close to them and make sure they do not lack; He also ensures their protection at all time. He goes to the extent of releasing to them from His company of innumerable angels, a chunk that would defend them that fear Him. The Lord cannot afford to play with the lives of His children that fear Him. Hence, it is never too much to use His angels to guard them from the daggers of the enemy.

Job feared God; He built a hedge (perhaps of angels) around him to make him untouchable. Elisha feared God; when an army of the enemy came for him, the Lord had His own army of angels encamped around him to protect him from whatever the enemy had planned against him. When Christ was ambushed by the High Priest, his lieutenants and the Roman soldiers, one of His own drew his sword and cut off the ear of one of the assailants. Christ prevented the physical defense and retaliation making it known that there was need for the scriptures to be fulfilled, else He could request for legions of angels to come to His defense.

The Lord wants us to know as believers today that we are never without defense for as long as we operate in the fear of God. Hence, no matter how the situation of life may seem fierce, there is really nothing to fear. The angels of God are around and about us to bring us out of every danger without fail. Let us therefore fear God the more and fear not those things that appear problematic. Most of the times, those things are based on our perceptions and are actually in the form of a mirage that fizzles away as we approach it.

Please pray:

Lord of the heaven and the earth, I thank you for your love and kindness over me up till today. I look up to you for your angelic fortification of my being and my space at all times, so that the enemy will not have cause to triumph over me ever. Please protect me, Lord in Jesus’ name. Please protect me by your angels and make me untouchable for the enemy, in Jesus’ name. I pray not for myself alone, but also for everyone that something would touch and it would affect me. Please keep us safe through angelic fortification, in Jesus’ name.
