Standing Bold for the Truth

Focus: Ezekiel 18:23 (KJV)"Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?"

The Choice to Live

God’s heart beats for your salvation. He takes no joy in judgment; His deepest desire is for everyone to turn from their own path and find life in Him. However, life is governed by spiritual laws. While God’s love is unconditional, His rescue is found within the tenets of Christ. He is patient and long-suffering, constantly sending help and gestures of grace to draw us back, but ultimately, the choice to yield to His righteousness rests with us.

The Danger of Neutrality

We often see the struggle to choose in the lives of Nicodemus and Pilate. Nicodemus admired Jesus from the shadows, held back by his status, while Pilate recognized Jesus' innocence but "washed his hands" to please the crowd. Both illustrate the danger of being aloof. Knowing the truth but refusing to stand for it is a subtle denial of faith. In God’s kingdom, there is no middle ground; standing aloof in the face of opposition is a risk to our ultimate salvation.

A Call to Contend

Today, the Lord is calling you to move beyond being a silent admirer. He is asking for a firm resolve and the courage to contend for your faith whenever the opportunity arises. We are not called to be bystanders in our own salvation but to be active, bold witnesses of the truth we have been given.

Prayer

I declare upon you the grace to be fearless in the face of opposition, in the name of Jesus. May you receive the strength to stand firm for your faith and never waver. Every power contending against your spiritual walk is silenced now in Jesus’ name. From this day forward, you are shielded from the pull of perdition and anchored in His eternal life, in Jesus’ name. Amen
