Be At Alert: Ready for His Return

Focus Scripture:

"Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." — Matthew 25:13 (KJV)

Devotional:The Lord is under no obligation to provide us with a countdown to His return. Instead, He has entrusted us with a vital assignment: to "occupy" and invest the talents He has given us until He arrives. We are His workers, and our primary responsibility is to live in constant obedience to His voice.

Scripture gives us sobering reminders of what happens when we lose our focus. The story of the ten virgins teaches us that being "caught napping" has eternal consequences; those who were unprepared were shut out from the celebration. Similarly, the parable of the talents shows that those who are carefree with their master's resources—rather than diligent—lose everything.

When the Lord returns, there will be no room for excuses or "last-minute" preparations. It won't matter what we did in the distant past; what matters is our current state of readiness. He will come like a "thief in the night," and only those found standing firm and credible in their faith will be saved.

Today, let this be your wake-up call. Don't take His grace for granted. Live each moment as if the curtain could be drawn at any second. Are you truly ready to meet Him?

Prayer:Father, thank You for choosing me as Your own. Please keep me standing firm through every trial and tribulation in this world so that I do not miss the bliss of eternity. Help me to remain diligent and faithful in my service to You until the very end. May my life be an offering that is pleasing in Your sight. In Jesus’ name, Amen
